"...Another movement afoot in the frozen case mirrors a similar trend throughout the store: Today's consumers are demanding more healthful options in their meal choices, and that has played into the frozen pizza category as well. From Palermo's, for example, many varieties are made with all-natural and organic ingredients.
Schwan's has taken note of the move toward better-for-you consumption as well. 'Consumers are demanding healthier choices, and we are responding with new product innovations,' notes Schwan's Scott Gamble. 'Consumers who are interested in health and wellness find that Wolfgang Puck All-Natural pizzas provide a new alternative for them.'
According to Gamble, what sets Wolfgang Puck apart from the pack are all-natural ingredients that make the end product comparable to what consumers might enjoy in an upscale pizzeria such as Spago or Wolfgang Puck Express.
'The pizzas consist of the freshest toppings and a simple, pure sauce with real tomato taste and texture,' says Gamble. 'The pizzas use only the freshest all-natural herbs and spices, vegetables, meats, and cheeses. All of the pizzas have Wolfgang's famous honey-infused crusts that are hand-stretched and brushed with olive oil before baking.'
The line's All-Natural Margherita pizza was recently named 'best cheese pizza' in a frozen pizza taste test conducted by Every Day With Rachael Ray magazine."
